Bethel Mekane Yesus School
Bethel Mekane Yesus School (BMYS), in partnership with the AYBS Alumni Association, is committed to ensuring that every deserving student has the opportunity to receive a quality education, regardless of financial circumstances.
The AYBS Alumni Association Scholarship Program was established to support students of Bethel Mekane Yesus School who demonstrate strong academic ability and commitment but face financial challenges that may affect their ability to continue their education.
Through the generous support of alumni and other donors, the program seeks to remove financial barriers to education and give deserving students the opportunity to continue their studies, reach their full potential, and develop into capable and responsible future leaders.
The program is administered by the AYBS Alumni Association, with scholarships funded by individual alumni, families, foundations, organizations, and other supporters. Regardless of the source of funding, recipients are selected through a common application and review process administered by the AYBS Alumni Association in collaboration with Bethel Mekane Yesus School.
To be eligible, applicants must:

Scholarships may be renewed for subsequent academic years through Grade 12, provided that the recipient:
Renewal is subject to annual review by the AYBS Alumni Association. If a recipient no longer meets the requirements or leaves the school, the scholarship may be made available to another eligible student.
The AYBS Alumni Association will review eligible applications and select scholarship recipients based on:

Our scholarship program provides financial assistance to students who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership potential, and financial need. Through the generosity of alumni, donors, and friends of BMYS, we are helping young women pursue their education, achieve their goals, and become leaders who will positively impact their communities and the world.
Every student has dreams for her future. Your support can help a talented young woman remain in school, access a high-quality Christian education, and continue her journey toward a brighter future for herself, her family, and her community.
A scholarship is more than financial assistance—it is an investment in a student's potential. It provides hope, opens doors to opportunity, and empowers the next generation of women to lead with knowledge, faith, integrity, and compassion.
All scholarships are competitive and application-based. Applicants are evaluated according to established eligibility criteria, which may include:
Scholarship applications are accepted once each year for the upcoming academic year, subject to available funding. The number of scholarships awarded may vary each year based on donor contributions and available resources.
Applications for 2026–2027 are open now — see how to apply above. Additional announcements regarding scholarship opportunities and deadlines are also shared on the official BMYS Telegram channel.
Every girl deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and achieve her dreams. By sponsoring a BMYS student, you are investing in more than an education—you are investing in the future of a young woman, her family, her community, and Ethiopia.
Your generosity helps remove financial barriers and provides deserving students with access to a high-quality Christian education, empowering them to become tomorrow's leaders.
